Linguine with White Clam Sauce

Ingredients

  • 1 (10oz) can whole baby clams
  • 2 tbsp. butter
  • 1 tbsp. olive oil
  • 3 garlic cloves, minced
  • 1 tbsp. all purpose flour
  • 1/2 cup dry white wine
  • 2 tbsp. chopped parsley
  • 1 tsp. chopped fresh thyme or 1/4 tsp. dried thyme
  • Pepper
  • 1 (6.5 oz) minced clams, drain and save liquid
  • Linguine (cooked)

Directions

  1. Drain baby clams and reserve liquid. Heat butter and olive oil over medium heat. Add garlic and saute 1 minute. Stir in flour. Stir in reserved clam juice, wine, parsley, thyme and pepper. Cook 2 minutes. Stir often. Add baby clams and minced clams. Cook 3 minutes or until heated through.
  2. Serve over the cooked linguine.
