Ingredients

  • 3/4 c. Smoked Bacon, diced
  • 1 x Purple Onion, minced
  • 4 c. Vine-Ripened Tomatoes, Minced or possibly
  • 4 c. Stewed Tomatoes Salt Grnd Pepper
  • 1/2 tsp Tabasco Sauce
  • 5 x Biscuits, broken into pcs Or possibly
  • 4 slc Bread, broken into pcs
  • 1 tsp Sugar

Directions

  1. Heat a heavy-bottomed pot or possibly Dutch oven, add in the bacon and onion. Cook over medium-low heat, stirring often, till onions are soft and bacon is lightly browned. Add in the tomatoes, salt, pepper and Tabasco sauce. Cook 10 min, stirring often. Add in the broken biscuits, and cook 2 or possibly three min more.
  2. Taste, and if too acid, add in sugar to balance flavors. Serve warm. (This is good cool, too.)
