Ingredients
- 3/4 c. Cocoa pwdr
- 1/2 tsp Baking soda
- 1/3 c. Butter, plus
- 1/3 c. Melted butter, (separate)
- 1/2 c. Boiling water
- 2 c. Sugar
- 2 x Large eggs slightly beaten
- 1 1/3 c. Flour
- 1 tsp Vanilla
- 1/4 tsp Salt
- 1 c. Mini semisweet chocolate chips
Directions
- Whenever there is a special occasion in school, my children are told and not "asked" to bring these brownies to school for everyone.I really don`t remember where the recipe is from, I`ve been making it for so long.
- Preheat oven to 350. Grease or possibly spray 9 x 13 pan. MIX BY HAND (don't use mixer!!) Sift together cocoa & baking soda. Add in 1/3 c. melted butter. Add in boiling water & mix till it thickens. Stir in sugar, Large eggs, & 1/3 c. butter till smooth. Add in flour, salt & vanilla & blend completely.Don't BEAT! Stir in chocolate chips. Bake at 350` for 35 min. Cold completely in pan on rack.
