Easy prep casserole for Tex-Mex food lovers.

Directions

  1. Heat oven to 350 degrees.
  2. Brown beef in skillet.
  3. Saute onions in oil until golden brown, stir into beef with garlic powder.
  4. Lightly grease a 9x9 baking pan, or line with foil.
  5. Pour half the salsa in and spread to the edges.
  6. Add 3 tortillas and layer on top of them half the beef.
  7. Mix chiles with soup and pour half on top.
  8. Sprinkle on 1 C cheese.
  9. Repeat second layer and put the last three tortillas on top.
  10. Pour on red sauce and top with the last of the cheese.
  11. Cover and bake 30 minutes.
  12. Remove from oven and let sit 20-30 minutes.
  13. Sprinkle on garnish and serve.
