Directions

  1. Sift together cake flour, baking pwdr, salt, and mace. Cream butter.
  2. Gradually add in sugar, creaming till fluffy. Add in lemon peel and extracts.
  3. Alternately beat in Large eggs and flour mix. Blend 1 Tbsp. flour into shortening. Brush over both inside sections of a lamb mold. Turn batter into face side of mold, fllling it level. Spoon a small amount of batter into each side of mold, filling ears. Close and lock mold. Set on baking sheet. Bake at 375F 50 to 55 min. Set mold on wire rack to cold 5 min. Remove back side. Cold 5 min longer. Turn out on rack to cold completely. Frost with Seven-Minute Frosting. Coat with coconut.
