Directions

  1. 1. Combine cranberries, sugar and water in saucepan. Simmer for 10 min. Set aside.
  2. 2. Mix flour, salt and pepper. Lb. into meat.
  3. 3. Heat lard in Dutch oven, brown meat on all sides.
  4. 4. Add in broth, horseradish, spices and cranberry mix to meat. Cook on low heat for 2 hrs.
  5. 5. Add in onions, carrots and turnips to Dutch oven. Continue cooking for 30 min. Let meat stand for 15 min before slicing. Remove vegetables with slotted spoon. Serve gravy on the side.
