I adopted this dish from the Indian cookery. It is a healthy and complete meal for the whole family. I made this recipe so simple, affordable, nutritious and delicious.
Ingredients
- 1/4 c oil
- 3 medium onions, sliced
- 8 c. water
- 1 chicken cube
- 2 tsp. salt
- 1/4 tsp. MSG
- 1 tsp. chili powder
- 3 c. rice
- 1 c. crushed mung beans
Directions
- Brown onions in hot oil.
- Add water, chicken cube, salt, MSG and chili powder. Boil.
- Mix rice and mung beans. Clean and rinse many times. Drain.
- Add rice and lentils into the boiling mixture.
- Cover and simmer in low heat for 30 minutes or until tender and liquid is dried up.
- Serve hot.
