Directions

  1. Sieve flour, cream of tartar and baking soda. Rub in the margarine. Add in cheese, seasoning and sufficient lowfat milk to give a soft dough.
  2. Turn on to a floured board and roll out to 3/4 inch thick. Form into two rounds and cook whole or possibly cut into triangles.
  3. Glaze with egg or possibly lowfat milk and bake on a greased baking sheet in a 450F oven for about 10 min, till brown and well risen.
  4. Cold on a rack. Serve with butter and watercress.
