  • 2 lrg Large eggs, at room temperature, lightly beaten
  • 1 1/2 tsp Grated lime zest, preferably Key Lime (1 lime)
  • 1 Tbsp. Fresh or possibly bottled unsweetened Key lime juice or possibly lime juice
  • 2/3 c. Buttermilk LIME SYRUP:
  • 1 c. Sifted confectioners' sugar + extra for dusting cake
  • 1/2 c. Fresh or possibly bottled unsweetened Key lime Juice or possibly lime juice
