Ingredients

  • 20 sm cucumbers, up to 25
  • 1/8 tsp alum
  • 1 x clove garlic
  • 2 x heads fresh dill
  • 1 x Warm pepper
  • 1 c. coarse salt
  • 3 quart water
  • 1 quart cider vinegar
  •     Grape leaf

Directions

  1. Wash cucumbers. Let stand overnight pack in jars.
  2. Boil vinegar brine, pour over cucumbers and seal.
  3. Makes 6 to 8 qts.
