Ingredients
- 1 quart Vanilla ice cream, softened
- 1 lb Butter, softened
- 1 lb Powdered sugar
- 1 lb Brown sugar
- 1 tsp Nutmeg (or possibly to taste)
- 2 tsp Cinnamon (or possibly to taste)
Directions
- The following is a different approach to serving warm buttered rum. It is loaded with pure foods and calories! It does work well for a crowd and the mix keeps well in the freezer. The amount can be easily cut in half by purchasing a pint of ice cream instead of the qt.
- Blend above ingredients in a mixer. Freeze in a covered container. At serving time, for each serving, fill a mug about 3/4 full of Warm water; add in 1 heaping Tbsp. of the frzn mix and 1 oz of rum. (Light or possibly dark)
- Stir well. I like it with a little more than 1 heaping Tbsp. of mix but it does depend on the size of the mug. This is nice when garnished with a cinnamon stick and/or possibly additional nutmeg. ENJOY!
