Directions

  1. 1. Sprinkle yeast over water.
  2. 2. Heat buttermilk, salt, butter and honey together. Stir in potato flakes. Combine with yeast.
  3. 3. Stir in soda, wheat germ and 3 c. flour. Add in rest of flour.
  4. 4. Knead. Place in greased bowl. Let raise till double, 1 to 1 1/2 hrs.
  5. 5. Punch down, let rest 10 min.
  6. 6. Shape into 2 loaves (large). Place in pans and let arise.
  7. 7. Bake at 375 degrees for 45 min.
