1 (28 ounce.) can pear shaped tomatoes (puree) 1/4 c. tomato paste 2 teaspoon sugar 2 tbsp. snipped fresh basil

2 teaspoon snipped fresh oregano 2 to 4 cloves garlic, chopped 1/4 teaspoon salt 1/4 teaspoon pepper
