Directions

  1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Mix together sugar, vegetable oil, lowfat milk, egg and vanilla extract in a large bowl; beat well. Add in flour, baking pwdr and salt. Pour batter into a greased and floured 9 inch loaf pan. Bake for 50 to 60 min or possibly till wooden toothpick inserted in center comes out clean.
  2. Cranberry Bread: Add in 1 tsp. orange extract, 1 tsp. cinnamon, and 1 1/2 c. minced cranberries to Basic Batter. Bake as above.
  3. Yield: 8 to 12 servings.
