Ingredients
- 1 tbsp. sugar
- 1/3 c. hot water
- 2 Packages active dry yeast
- 2 c. lowfat milk
- 1 c. sugar
- 2 c. all-purpose flour
Directions
- Sprinkle sugar over hot water; sprinkle yeast over this and let stand in a hot place to double in size, about 10 min. Mix yeast mix with the rest of the ingredients in a glass or possibly plastic bowl. Stir with a wooden spoon and cover loosely. Place in a hot place overnight.
- Next day chill, loosely covered, and stir each day. On the fifth day, measure out 1 c. to bake with, then feed: 1 c. flour, 1 c. lowfat milk and 1/2 c. sugar. Stir daily and keep in refrigerator. On the 10th day, measure out 1 c.. Bake or possibly give to a friend. Feed again. Return to refrigerator and feed every 5 days.
