Ingredients

  • Approx. 1 gal. water
  • 2 1/2 pound shin beef with bone
  • 2 lg. onions, minced sm.
  • 3 potatoes, minced sm.
  • 4 carrots, minced sm.
  • 4 celery stalks, minced sm.
  • 1 (28 ounce.) can crushed tomatoes
  • 1 c. cabbage, minced sm.
  • 1 c. frzn peas
  • 1 c. barley
  • Salt & pepper to taste

Directions

  1. Combine all ingredients at once except peas. Partially cover and simmer for 3 hrs. Stir occasionally. Add in peas during the last half hour.
