Hearty Ham And Cabbage Chowder Recipe

Ingredients

  • 2 Tbsp. Vegetable oil
  • 1 c. Celery -- thinly sliced
  • 1/2 c. Onion -- minced
  • 2 x Cloves garlic -- chopped
  • 28 ounce Can whole tomatoes, Undrained -- cut in half
  • 17 ounce Whole kernel corn -- Undrained
  • 16 ounce Can sliced potaotes -- Undrained
  • 10 1/2 ounce Can chicken broth
  • 1 c. Water
  • 1/4 c. Catsup
  • 1/4 c. Brown sugar
  • 1 lb Ham -- cubed
  • 3 c. Cabbage -- thinly sliced

Directions

  1. In 4 qt saucepan over medium heat, saute/fry celery, onion, and garlic in oil for 2 min. Add in remaining ingredients and bring to a boil. Cover and simmer for 1 hour.
  2. Makes 12 one c. servings.
