Healthy Wheatgerm Pancakes and the Arusuvai Chain

I received a lovely parcel from Nivedita with the mystery ingredient in it some days back as a format for the Arusuvai chain. She sent a set of beautiful coral bowls and a hand painted stone with a thoughtful message ‘Lets’ grow together’. The mystery ingredient was not too difficult to find out. The cornflour powder which she sent for me to identify and make something out of it was transformed into Ragi cookies and these healthy Wheat germ Pancakes.

I decided to include this post for the chain, as these Pancakes are pretty easy to make than the cookies and can be a very filling breakfast recipe.

Wheatgerm and cornflour mix

Ingredients;

(makes 12 Pancakes)

The batter...

Method; Mix the dry ingredients in a large vessel and add baking soda into it. Take another vessel and add curd, melted butter or oil, vanilla essence, sugar/honey and mix well.

Add these wet ingredients to the dry flour mix. Give a good stir and make a batter of semi solid consistency. Add extra spoons of milk if you find the batter to be thick.

Healthy Breakfast on the go...

Heat a non stick pan and pour a ladle full of the batter on to it. Cook bot the side till it turns golden brown. Sprinkle a little oil if you want more crisp and extra glaze on the Pancakes.

Served with fruit Jam..

Pancakes make a very filling and a healthy breakfast.

Serve these healthy Pancakes with Honey, powder sugar, fruit jam, chocolate syrup of fresh fruit mix.

Thanks Nivedita for the lovely gifts & the wonderful ingredient and making me a part of this lovely chain of beautiful foodie friends.
