Ingredients

  • 1 pkt (8 ounce) Noodles
  • 1 1/2 lb Grnd chuck
  • 1 Tbsp. Butter
  • 2 can (8 ounce) tomato sauce
  • 1 pkt (8 ounce) cream cheese
  • 1 c. Cottage cheese
  • 1/2 c. Lowfat sour cream
  • 1/3 c. Minced onion
  • 1 Tbsp. Minced green pepper
  • 2 Tbsp. Melted butter

Directions

  1. Directions: Cook noodles as directed and drain. Brown chuck in butter, breaking it up into small pcs. Sprinkle lightly with salt and pepper.
  2. Stir in tomato sauce and remove from heat. Combine cream cheese, cottage cheese, lowfat sour cream, onion, and green pepper. Mix well. Grease a 2-qt casserole. Make bottom layer with 1/2 of the noodles. Cover with cream cheese mix. Spread with remaining noodles, pouring melted butter over these and finish off with meat and tomato mix. Heat in 350 oven for 20 min. If prepared a day ahead and refrigerated, bring to room temperature and allow about 40-45 min before placing in oven.
