Ham Balls With Raisin Sauce

Ingredients

  • 3 c. grnd ham
  • 1 c. uncooked quick cooking rolled oats
  • 1/4 teaspoon grnd cinnamon
  • 1/4 teaspoon grnd cloves
  • 2 lg. large eggs, slightly beaten
  • 1/2 c. lowfat milk
  • 2 teaspoon prepared mustard
  • 3/4 c. raisins
  • 1/3 c. brown sugar
  • 1/4 teaspoon grnd cinnamon
  • 3 T vinegar
  • 1 T cornstarch

Directions

  1. Preheat oven to 400 degrees. In large bowl with hands lightly mix ham ball mix and 1/4 tsp pepper till combined. Shape into 12 balls. Arrange in shallow baking dish; bake uncovered 15 min.Meanwhile make sauce. In small saucepan bring first 4 sauce ingredients and 1 1/2 cups of water to boiling; simmer 5 min. In small bowl mix cornstarch and 1/4 cup water till blended, stir into raisin mix. Bring to boiling, stirring constantly. Simmer 1 minute till thickened. Pour over ham balls. Bake 30 min longer, basting occasionally with sauce mix. Serves 6.
