- In large bowl, with portable mixer, beat 1 c. butter and brown sugar till light and fluffy. Gradually beat in 2 1/3 c. flour. Between 2 sheets of waxed paper, roll out to 1/4 inch thickness. Place in freezer till hard and easy to handle.
