Ground Beef, Corn And Tomato Pie

Ingredients

  • 2 tbsp. fat
  • 1 clove garlic, chopped
  • 1 onion, minced
  • 1 pound grnd beef
  • 2 c. canned tomatoes
  • 2 c. canned corn
  • 4 tbsp. butter
  • 5 tbsp. flour
  • 1 teaspoon brown sugar
  • 1/2 teaspoon chili pwdr
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon paprika
  • Pie crust

Directions

  1. Heat fat and saute/fry garlic and onion; stir in grnd meat and brown. Add in tomatoes and corn. Heat butter; stir in flour. Add in these ingredients to the meat mix; stir and cook till boiling. Season with sugar, chili pwdr, salt and paprika.
  2. Place in a greased, oven-proof dish. Top with pie crust, biscuits or possibly slices of buttered bread. Place in a warm oven at 425 degrees till the top is done, about 20 min. Yield 6 servings.
