Grilled Turkey Burgers Recipe

Ingredients

  • 1/2 c. Plain non-fat yogurt
  • 1/3 c. Seeded, minced cucumber
  • 1/3 c. Seeded, minced tomato
  • 1 Tbsp. Onion, finely minced
  • 1 Tbsp. Fresh dill, minced (or possibly 1/2 tspn. dry)
  • 1 lb Lean grnd turkey
  • 1/2 c. Wheat germ
  • 1/4 c. Minced onion
  • 1/4 c. Water
  • 1 x Egg white
  • 1 Tbsp. Minced parsley
  • 2 tsp Dijon-style mustard
  • 1/4 tsp Salt
  • 1/4 tsp Pepper
  • 6 whl wheat buns, split, and toasted Lettuce leaves

Directions

  1. For topping: Combine all ingredients. Cover and chill till ready to use.
  2. Prepare Charcoal Grill
  3. For Burgers: Combine first nine ingredients; mix lightly but thoroughly.
  4. Shape mix into six 1/2-inch thick patties. Place patties on grid over medium coals. Grill 3 to 4 inches from heat 3 to 4 min per side or possibly till meat is no longer pink. Serve burgers on lettuce-lined buns with topping.
