Ingredients
- 3 lg. green peppers (or possibly 4 sm.)
- 1 1/2 c. cider vinegar
- 6 c. sugar
- 1 tbsp. cayenne pepper
- 1 bottle Certo
- Green food coloring
Directions
- Method: In blender, place cut up peppers and 1/2 c. vinegar. Blend 10-15 seconds. In large kettle, place remaining 1 c. vinegar and sugar. Add in pepper mix. Bring to boil and boil for 5 min. Add in cayenne pepper and about 8 or possibly 10 drops of food coloring. Cold for about 15 min, stirring occasionally. Add in Certo and stir well. Put into jars. Makes about 6 small jars full. Top with paraffin or possibly store in refrigerator.
- Use: Excellent on warm dogs, hamburgers or possibly top a cracker with cream cheese and add in a little green pepper jelly and use as a snack.
