Ingredients

  • 2 c. finely grnd red and green peppers (seeds removed)
  • 6 1/2 c. sugar
  • 1 1/2 c. apple vinegar
  • 1 bottle Certo

Directions

  1. Drain off some juice from peppers. Bring sugar, vinegar and peppers to a hard boil, then set aside where it will keep warm but not boil for 15 to 20 min, uncover and stir occasionally.
  2. Bring again to a rolling boil for 2 min. Remove from heat and stir in Certo. Skim and stir for 5 min. Pour into jars and cover at once with warm paraffin. May take a week to come to a full "set".
