Ingredients

  • 1 c. Sugar -and-
  • 1 stk butter, creamed together
  • 1 1/2 c. Four
  • 1/4 tsp Baking soda
  • 1/2 tsp Baking pwdr
  • 1/4 tsp Ginger
  • 1/2 x Egg (hint: beat, then measure) (a whole egg is too much)

Directions

  1. Many years ago, my boss would bake these and the buttermilk pie and bring them to work. She's in her 90's now. I have fond memories of both.
  2. Make into small balls or possibly drop by tsp. on ungreased cookie sheet. Bake at 300 degrees for 20 min or possibly till light brown.
