Quick and easy to make and much healthier than the kind you buy! Play with the ingredients. Maybe you would like pepitas instead of the flax; or vanilla instead of the cinnamon and nutmeg. Try adding dried fruit. Then, serve it with yogurt for breakfast or sprinkled over berries for a quick dessert.

Directions

  1. Heat oven to 350 degrees F. On a rimmed sheet, toss the oats, almonds, coconut, flax seed. Mix the maple syrup, oil and seasonings in a small bowl. Pour over dry ingredients and toss to coat.
  2. Bake, tossing once, until golden and crisp, 25 - 30 minutes. Remove from oven and cool completely.
  3. Add the chocolate chips and toss to combine.
  4. The granola will keep in an airtight container in a cool, dry place for up to 3 weeks.
