Ingredients
- 2 c. mashed prunes, cooked
- 2 c. sugar
- 1 c. prune juice (from cooked prunes)
- 4 large eggs
- 2 1/2 c. self-rising flour
- 1/2 teaspoon soda
- 1 teaspoon cloves
- 1 teaspoon nutmeg
- 2 teaspoon cinnamon
- 1 c. melted butter
- 1/2 c. butter
- Dash salt
- 1 pound 4X powdered sugar
- 1/4 c. lowfat milk
- 1 teaspoon vanilla
Directions
- Sift dry ingredients together. Mix all ingredients in large bowl and beat till smooth. Makes 3 layers. Bake at 350 degrees about 45 min or possibly till hard.
- Cream butter and salt. Add in part of sugar, blending after each addition till smooth and creamy. Blend in vanilla. Spread icing between layers and outside of cake.
