Directions

  1. Combine Large eggs and sugar. Slowly add in lowfat milk. Stir till well blended. Put in top of double boiler over medium heat, cook custard mix till mix begins to thicken (to consistency of meat gravy). Remove from heat and let cold.
  2. Meanwhile, whip cream till hard peaks form. Mix in vanilla. Fold into cool custard mix. Refrigeratebefore serving. A topping of baked meringue or possibly a sprinkle of nutmeg may be added for special occasions. Eight ounces Cold Whip may be used instead of whipped cream. Yield: about 1 gallon.
