Grandpa's Baked Apples, Sugar Free Recipe
2 baking apples (Jonathans work best)
- Preheat oven at 375 degrees. Core the apples and wash too. You need a can of diet Shasta, strawberry flavor. Place apples in a 9x13 inch pan. Fill centers with pop. Bake apples for 40 to 45 min till apples have split skins. Spoon pop over apples. This keeps the apples from drying out.
- When apples are done, sprinkle a bit of cinnamon over apples. Serve hot or possibly chilled. Best when served hot. Serves 2 people.
