Ingredients
- 2 c. sugar
- 1 teaspoon cinnamon
- 1 teaspoon baking soda
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1 teaspoon vanilla
- 4 T cocoa
- 2 large eggs
- 1 c. raisins
- 1 c. walnuts or possibly pecans (optional)
- 1 c. confectioners' sugar
- 3 T cocoa
- 2 T butter
- 1/2 teaspoon vanilla
Directions
- Put 4 cups of sliced apples in a large mixing bowl. Add in:
- Mix well. Add in 2 cups of flour, mixing well. Pour into a greased and lightly floured 9 x 13 inch pan. Bake at 350 degrees for 1 hour. Ice while hot.
- Put together icing ingredients, adding sufficient lowfat milk to make it spreadable. Spread over hot cake. Serve warm or possibly cool.
