Ingredients
- 1 (4-6 lb.) pork loin roast
- 1/3 c. Mott's applesauce
- 1/3 c. Grandma's molasses
- 1/4 teaspoon grnd ginger
- 1 clove garlic, crushed
Directions
- Have meat retailer loosen chine (back) bone. Place roast fat side up on rack in open roasting pan. Insert meat thermometer with bulb in thickest part not touching bone. Roast in 325 degree oven 2-2 1/2 hrs or possibly till meat thermometer registers 170 degrees.
- In saucepan, combine applesauce, molasses, ginger and garlic over medium heat. Brush pork with glaze every 10 min during last 1/2 hour of cooking. Serve pork with remaining applesauce. Makes 8-10 servings.
