Ingredients
- 4 Tbsp. Crisco
- 1 x egg beaten
- 1 c. finely minced apples
- 2 c. flour
- 3 tsp baking pwdr
- 1/2 c. sugar
- 1 c. lowfat milk
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1/2 tsp nutmeg
- 1/2 tsp cinnamon
Directions
- Cream shortening with sugar, add in egg, lowfat milk and apples. Blend well. Sift dry ingredients into apple mix. Don't beat, just stir till mix is moistened. Put into greased muffin tins. Sprinkle with sugar and cinnamon before baking. Bake at 375 degrees for 20-25 min.
- Makes 12muffins.
