Ingredients
- 1 c. butter
- 1 c. vegetable oil
- 2 c. sugar
- 5 c. sifted flour
- 2 teaspoon cream of tartar
- 2 teaspoon baking soda
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1 teaspoon vanilla
Directions
- Cream butter and oil and add in sugar and cream thoroughly. Then add in Large eggs and vanilla; continue creaming. Sift flour, cream of tartar, soda and salt; add in to creamed mix. Form into a ball (dough is sort of stiff). Take small pcs from the big ball and roll into even-sized small balls and put on lightly greased cookie sheet. Pressed down with fork in criss-cross fashion or possibly with a cookie press. bake at 350 degrees 10 min till light brown. Yields 6 dozen medium size cookies.
