Directions

  1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees. In saucepan, heat caramels with 1/3 c. evaporated lowfat milk over low heat. Combine remaining lowfat milk with cake mix, margarine and nuts. Batter will be stiff. Press 1/2 cake mix into 9 x 13 inch pan. Bake 6 min. Sprinkle chocolate chips over crust, add in caramel mix and spread to edges. Top with remaining cake mix, bake 15-20 min. Cold on rack, chill. Cut into bars for serving. (Tip, let caramel mix stand a few min before topping with cake mix).
