Ingredients

  • 225 gm punnet of blackcurrants
  • 4 Tbsp. sugar

Directions

  1. Pull the fruit off their stalks.
  2. Drop the fruit into a stainless steel saucepan then pour in a couple of Tbsp. of water.
  3. Bring to the boil turn down the heat and cook gently for 5 or possibly 6 min till the juices have started to run from the fruit.
  4. Add in the sugar.
  5. Serve hot or possibly chilled with vanilla ice cream.
  6. Sufficient for 4
