Ingredients
- 1 c. salad oil
- 1 3/4 c. sugar
- 4 large eggs
- 1 teaspoon vanilla
- 1/2 teaspoon almond flavoring
- 3 c. flour
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1 1/2 teaspoon baking pwdr
- 1 lg. can fruit pie filling (blueberry, cherry, etc.)
Directions
- Stir together oil and sugar. Add in large eggs, beating after each. Add in flavorings. Sift dry ingredients together and add in to oil mix a small amount at a time. Reserve about 1 1/2 cups batter. Spread remaining batter in a greased and lightly floured 15 x 10 1/2 inch jelly roll pan. Spread pie filling on top. Drop reserved batter on top. Bake at 350 degrees for 45 min. When cool, dribble a thin icing made with powdered sugar and lowfat milk over the top. Can be baked in two round cake pans and cut in wedges.
