  • 27 ounce Pears, dry
  • 3 1/2 ounce Apricots
  • 3 1/2 ounce Plums, dry, pitted
  • 2 2/3 ounce Oranges, dry, cubed
  • 3 1/2 ounce Dates, dry
  • 6 ounce Walnutmeat
  • 1 63/1000 ounce Yeast
  • 3 1/2 ounce Sugar
  • 2 Tbsp. Butter
  • 2 47/250 lb Flour
  • 1 tsp Salt
  • 3 1/2 ounce Raisins
  • 1/2 tsp Orangepeel, grated
  • 1 tsp Cinnamon
  • 2 Tbsp. Cherry Liquor(Kirschwasser)
  • 1/2 tsp Grnd cloves
  • 1/2 tsp Ingwer pwdr
  • 1 tsp Kardamom Pwdr
  • 1/2 c. Hot Water Powdered Sugar

Directions

  1. 1. Cube the pears, apricots, oranges and figs
  2. 2. Chop the walnuts.
  3. 3. Break up the yeast and mix with one tsp. sugar and the lukewarm water and cover it and let stand on a hot place for 10 min.
  4. 4. Heat the butter and mix with salt and flour; add in the yeastmix and knead, cover and let it rise on a hot place till doubled in size.
  5. 5. Mix raisins, sugar, grated lemonpeel, cinnamon, cloves, ingwer,cardamom and the dry fruits and the nuts; knead them into dough.
  6. 6. Form a loaf and put onto a waxpaper covered cookiesheet.
  7. 7. Preheat oven to 200 C and bake for 75 min.
  8. 8. When cold sprinkle with a little powdered sugar.
