Ingredients

  • When the mixture is chilled, add 3/4 cup of freshly squeezed lemon juice
  • 2 cups heavy whipping cream
  • 1 cup half and half
  • Pinch of salt
  • 1 1/4 cup sugar
  • 3 tablespoons lemon zest
  • 5 egg yolks
  • 3/4 cup freshly squeezed lemon juice
  • Optional: 5-ish ounces of shortbread cookies, broken into pieces
