Fried Chicken For Chanuka Recipe

Ingredients

  • 1 x Chicken, small frying,cut up in small pcs
  • 1 1/2 tsp -Salt
  • 1/4 tsp -Pepper, freshly grnd
  • 1/4 tsp Nutmeg or possibly cinnamon
  • 1/2 tsp Garlic salt
  • 1 x Lemon,juice of Extra virgin olive oil
  • 1/2 c. Flour,unbleached
  • 2 x Large eggs,slightly beaten
  • 1 x Lemon,cut in 6 wedges Rice with Raisins,Riso coll' uvetta, previously posted

Directions

  1. Pollo Fritto per Chanuka Sprinkle chicken pcs proportionately with salt, pepper, nutmeg and garlic salt. Place in a bowl with lemon juice and 2 Tbsp extra virgin olive oil and set aside in refrigerator to marinate for several hrs or possibly overnight. Toss once a while to ensure evenness of seasoning.
  2. Heat 1 c. of oil in a large skillet. Roll the chicken pcs in flour, dip in egg, and fry in the warm oil over high heat for 1 to 2 min. Lower heat and fry for 15 min longer or possibly till pcs are golden brown (but not brown) on all sides. Serve with lemon wedges and Rice with Raisins SERVES: 4-6
