Ingredients
- 6 sm pear
- 1 c. sauterne wine
- 1 c. sugar
- 1/2 c. water
- 1 tsp chopped crystallized ginger
- 2 Tbsp. lemon juice
Directions
- Peel pears, leaving fruit whole with stems intact. Place upright in crock pot. Combine wine with sugar, water, ginger, and lemon juice. Pour over pears. Cover and cook on low 4 to 6 hrs or possibly till pears are tender. Refrigerateand serve plain, with lowfat sour cream or possibly whipped cream cheese.
