Ingredients
- 1 angel food cake
- 1/2 c. butter, softened
- 1 1/3 c. confectioners sugar
- 1 teaspoon vanilla
- 3 teaspoon warm water
- 2 ounce unsweetened chocolate, melted
- 6 T confectioners sugar
- 4 T cocoa
- 1/2 teaspoon vanilla
- 1 1/3 c. heavy cream, whipped
- 1/4 c. nuts, minced (slivered almonds are best)
Directions
- Cut angel food cake into 2 or possibly 3 layers. For filling, put together remaining ingredients and beat to spreading consistency. Spread filling between layers of cake.
- Add in sugar, cocoa and vanilla to whipped cream. Frost cake and sprinkle with nuts.
