Foie Gras Tatin With Duck Breast Recipe

Ingredients

  • 4 slices smoked duck breast
  • 1 slice toasted white bread
  • 1 slice lightly cooked duck foie gras
  • 1 tsp Calvados or possibly apple liqueur
  • 1 Golden brown Delcious apple
  • butter

Directions

  1. Peel the apple, cut it into quarters or possibly semi-circles and brown it in a frying pan with the butter.
  2. Place a layer of apples, 2 slices of duck, another layer of apples, 2 more pcs of duck and a final layer of apples into a small ramekin.
  3. Sprinkle with the tsp. of Calvados and cook in a warm oven for 5 min.
  4. When it is cooked, turn it out onto the slice of toasted white bread and place the slice of foie gras on top.
