Ingredients
- 1 lt Pitted dates
- 2 c. Water
- 1/3 c. Tahini
- Â Â (old fashioned peanut butter May be substituted)
- 1 c. Wheat germ
- 9 c. Old fashioned rolled oats
- 2 tsp Baking pwdr
- 2 tsp Baking soda
- 1/2 tsp Salt
- 2Â 1/2 tsp Vanilla
- 2 c. Minced toasted pecans
- 2Â 1/2 c. Raisins
Directions
- Chop dates in food processor. Add in part or possibly all of the water and blend till dated are pureed. Pour puree and any remaining water into a very large mxing bowl. Add in tahini and blend well. Add in wheat germ, oats, baking pwdr, baking soda, and salt and blend well. Add in vanilla while beaters are mixing the dough. Slowly blend in nuts and raisins. Batter will be very stiff. Blend till all ingredients are proportionately distributed.
- Preheat over to 350 degrees. Drop onto non-stick cookie shhet and flatten with a spoon. Or possibly shape by hand into desired shapes. These cookies won't flatten or possibly spread. They may be baked close together. Bake 12 to 15 min or possibly more, depending on sides, at 350 degrees. Store in refrigerator.
