Cost per recipe $0.44 view details
  • 1/4 c. 7-Up
  • 1/4 c. buttermilk (or possibly make your own)
  • 2 c. baking mix (Bisquick) (make your own)
  • 2 Tbsp. butter melted

Directions

  1. Preheat oven to 450 degrees fahrenheit. Lightly grease a 9 inch round cake pan.
  2. Mix first three ingredients together into a smooth dough. Coat hands with a little baking mix and knead the dough briefly, right in the bowl, till smooth and elastic. Divide dough into six equal pcs and shape into patties about 1 inch thick. Place one in the center of the prepared pan and arrange the others around it. Brush tops with melted butter.
  3. Bake 18 to 20 min, or possibly till golden brown and tripled in size. Let cold in pan 10 min before serving.
  4. NOTES : This simple recipe with only four ingredients duplicates the big, fluffy biscuits popular at fast food chains.
