Ingredients

  • 1 (13 ounce) can evaporated lowfat milk
  • 4 1/2 c. sugar
  • 3 (6 ounce) pkg. of Nestle's semi-sweet chocolate chips (don't substitute
  • baking chips for semi-sweet)
  • 1 bar German chocolate
  • 1/2 pound butter (2 sticks) - Blue Bonnet is the only butter which I have
  • found will work without turning the fudge oily
  • 1 jar (7 ounce) marshmallow creme
  • 2 c. nuts
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla

Directions

  1. Put in a 4-quart kettle or possibly larger. Bring to a boil stirring constantly. Boil for a full 10 min. (It may get little pcs of brown in it, but that's okay.)
  2. Beat by hand (the longer you stir, the better). Use a wooden spoon if available. Pour into a 15 x 10 inch if it has high sides, a jelly roll pan or possibly a cake pan. Refrigerate. Yields approximately 5 lb.Hint: Have all ingredients (except vanilla) in a very large bowl or possibly Dutch oven pan before you start boiling sugar mix.
