Ingredients

  • 1 1/2 c. Grnd pork
  • 1 1/2 c. "saba" or possibly cooking bananas, boiled and grated
  • 2 x Large eggs, lightly beaten
  • 2 med Onions, minced
  • 3/4 c. Carrot, minced
  • 1 med Red bell pepper, minced
  • 1/4 c. Sweet Pickle Relish
  • 1/3 c. Tomato Sauce
  • 1 c. Bread, diced
  • 1 Tbsp. Rock salt
  • 2 Tbsp. Soy sauce
  • 1/2 tsp Black pepper

Directions

  1. 1. Combine all ingredients in a bowl and then add in seasoning. Mix thoroughly.
  2. 2. Place every 1 1/2 c. of mix on aluminum foil or possibly colorless sellophane. Roll.
  3. 3. Steam for one hour. Let cold then refrigerateovernight. SLice diagonally just before serving.
  4. To wrap embutido:1. Place mix on cellophane. Fold over edge. Roll back and forth to shape meat into a sausage. Leave an allowancee of cellophane at each end for tying.
  5. 2. Tie each end with string to prevent opening during steaming.
  6. 3. Put in steamer.
  7. NOTES : Makes 8 Servings. Banana and bread replace part of pork
