.%20All%20Featured%20Publishers%20were%20asked%20to%20create%20a%20post%20based%20on%20the%20same%20theme;%20since%20we're%20all%20food%20bloggers,%20the%20theme%20is,%20of%20course,%20food%20related.%20The%20theme%20for%20OCRF%20is%20banana%20splits!%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3ESo%20here%20we%20are,%20all%20creating%20banana%20splits%20for%20OCRF%20and%20the%20Top%209%20takeover%20which%20will%20feature%20nine%20banana%20split%20posts.%20Foodbuzz%20will%20also%20donate%20$50%20to%20OCRF%20for%20every%20banana%20split%20that%20is%20posted%20before%2012:00pm%20tonight%20by%20a%20Featured%20Publisher.%20This%20is%20so%20great!%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EKelly%20Ripa%20and%20Electrolux%20has%20a%20website:%20http://www.kelly-confidential.com/foodbuzz%20dedicated%20to%20OCRF%20that%20is%20centered%20around%20creating%20the%20ultimate%20banana%20split.%20For%20each%20split%20made,%20Electrolux%20will%20donate%20$1%20toward%20OCRF.%20So%20get%20out%20there%20and%20make%20your%20splits!%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EFor%20now,%20here%20is%20mine...%20I%20wanted%20to%20do%20something%20a%20little%20different%20and%20fun.%20It%20was%20so%20neat%20looking,%20I%20think%20I%20am%20going%20to%20make%20them%20for%20a%20dessert%20sometime%20soon!%20The%20goal%20was%20that%20I%20would,%20of%20course,%20make%20the%20split%20and%20then%20Noodle%20would%20help%20me%20eat%20it.%20In%20reality,%20apparently%20my%20child%20is%20from%20another%20planet%20or%20something%20because%20he%20'didn't%20want'%20to%20have%20any...%20what??%20Now%20that's%20just%20plain%20weird.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3ESo%20all%20day%20I%20have%20had%20banana%20split%20ideas%20swirling%20in%20my%20head...%20how%20to%20make%20it%20different,%20make%20it%20really%20fun,%20it's%20got%20to%20have%20flavor,%20do%20I%20stray%20from%20the%20'norm'%20in%20the%20ice%20cream%20department...%20lots%20of%20ideas.%20I%20definitely%20knew%20though,%20that%20I%20wanted%20to%20dip%20the%20banana%20in%20the%20chocolate%20vs%20drizzling%20the%20chocolate%20on%20top.%20Then%20I%20thought%20it%20would%20be%20fun%20to%20roll%20it%20in%20crushed%20up%20sugar%20cone,%20for%20a%20crunch.%20The%20fresh%20raspberry%20puree%20just%20happened%20to%20be%20in%20my%20refrigerator%20from%20my%20summer%20beverage%20extravaganza%20(post%20coming%20soon)%20so%20I%20knew%20I%20couldn't%20leave%20that%20out.%20The%20ice%20cream,%20oh%20the%20ice%20cream...%20what%20a%20pain%20in%20the%20rear!%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3ESo%20here%20it%20is%20ladies%20and%20gentlemen,%20my%20fantastical%20sunny%20summer%20banana%20split...%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3ENeed:%20(I'm%20going%20to%20make%20everything%20generic%20because%20there%20are%20so%20many%20brands.%20Should%20you%20choose,%20I%20can%20provide%20a%20list%20of%20the%20specific%20brands%20I%20used.%20Also,%20the%20ice%20cream%20was%20dairy%20free!)%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3E2%20sugar%20cones%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EHot%20fudge...%20the%20kind%20you%20use%20for%20ice%20cream%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3E1%20large%20firm%20banana...%20I....%20nevermind.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EDo:%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EPut%20the%20two%20sugar%20cones%20in%20the%20food%20processor%20and%20pulse%20until%20crushed.%20Note:%20don't%20crush%20them%20so%20much%20that%20they%20become%20'meal'...%20you%20want%20a%20little%20crunch%20and%20differentiation.%20When%20blended,%20pour%20out%20onto%20a%20plate.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EPour%20your%20chocolate%20fudge%20onto%20a%20plate.%20Put%20that%20plate%20next%20to%20the%20crushed%20sugar%20cone%20plate.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EPeel%20banana,%20peel%20peel%20banana...%20(had%20to%20pay%20homage%20to%20Mrs.%20Thompson%20:))%20then%20cut%20the%20banana%20in%20half%20length%20wise.%20Cut%20each%20of%20your%20two%20halves%20at%20an%20angle%20two%20times,%20creating%20six%20pointed%20pieces%20about%202%201/2%20inches%20long.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EGet%20your%20'presentation'%20plate%20out%20and%20put%20that%20near%20your%20chocolate%20and%20cone...%20think%20assembly%20line.%20One%20at%20a%20time,%20take%20your%20pieces%20of%20banana%20and%20dip%20the%20flat%20bottom%20into%20the%20chocolate.%20Allow%20the%20chocolate%20to%20go%20up%20the%20sides...%20you%20want%20a%20fairly%20generous%20amount.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EGently%20remove%20your%20chocolate%20bottomed%20banana%20from%20the%20chocolate%20plate%20(use%20a%20spoon%20to%20help)%20and%20transfer%20to%20the%20sugar%20cookie%20plate.%20Make%20sure%20the%20chocolate%20is%20fully%20covered...%20up%20the%20sides%20too,%20but%20leave%20the%20top%20'naked'.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3ERepeat%20for%20all%20banana%20pieces.%20Note:%20this%20is%20messy...%20I%20would%20have%20gotten%20some%20pictures%20but%20I%20was%20working%20solo.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EAs%20you%20complete%20each%20piece,%20arrange%20on%20your%20presentation%20plate%20in%20a%20circular%20pattern.%20When%20finished,%20use%20a%20cloth%20to%20wipe%20the%20extra%20crumbs%20and/or%20other%20whatnot%20off%20your%20plate.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EWhen%20your%20banana%20is%20arranged,%20scoop%20one%20very%20small%20scoops%20of%20each%20flavor%20ice%20cream%20in%20a%20triangular%20pattern.%20I%20used%20a%20melon%20baller.%20On%20top%20of%20those%20scoops,%20scoop%20another.%20Note:%20for%20some%20reason%20my%20ice%20cream%20was%20quite%20soft%20when%20I%20pulled%20it%20out%20of%20the%20freezer,%20plus%20it's%20really%20hot%20here%20so%20it%20was%20melting%20crazy%20fast.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EOn%20top%20of%20the%20ice%20cream,%20drizzle%20a%20little%20caramel%20sauce,%20bringing%20it%20out%20on%20the%20plate%20between%20each%20banana%20piece.%20On%20top%20of%20that,%20spoon%20out%20the%20raspberry%20puree%20on%20top.%20You%20will%20also%20want%20to%20put%20a%20little%20dollop%20of%20raspberry%20puree%20on%20top%20of%20the%20ice%20cream.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EOn%20top%20of%20the%20raspberry%20puree%20that%20is%20on%20your%20ice%20cream,%20finish%20your%20masterpiece%20with%20a%20fresh%20raspberry!%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EServe:%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EGet%20a%20spoon%20and%20go%20to%20town!%3C/p%3E){kind=link}
