Lovely Lake Trout.... barbecued to perfection and accompanied by fresh veggies and mushrooms....... a delicious and HEALTHY main dish!

Ingredients

  • 1 2-lb lake trout
  • celery (amount your pref)
  • green onions (amount your pref)
  • baby carrots (amount your pref)
  • 1 whole red sweet bell pepper, sliced coarsely
  • 2 lbs sliced button mushrooms
  • vegetable or canola oil
  • 2 lemons, sliced

Directions

  1. clean the trout, removing head and tail if preferred
  2. stuff the trout with some of the onions and celery, reserving remainder...
  3. place a large piece of foil on the BBQ, and pour oil onto it
  4. light BBQ and place on LOW flame
  5. place a layer of sliced lemons on foil
  6. place the trout on top of the lemon slices, and add some slices on top
  7. place remaining vegetable around and on the fish
  8. BBQ on LOW flame for 45 -50 minutes, or until the fish is flaky and tender
  9. serve with mushrooms and side salad
  10. ENJOY!
