  • Eggnog and Cranberry Thumbprints
  • 3/4 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/4 cup brown sugar
  • 1 egg
  • 1 1/2 teaspoon vanilla
  • 2 cups all purpose flour
  • 1/2 teaspoon grated nutmeg
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 cup whole cranberry sauce, drained
  • Frosting:
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 2 cups powdered sugar
  • 2 tablespoons spiced rum (or 2 tablespoons eggnog)
  • Nutmeg for garnish
